About Dr. Russell

Dr. Russell was born in Baton Rouge, LA, and graduated from Broadmoor Sr. High School. He finished college at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in Petroleum Engineering and worked for the Marathon Oil Company for seven years. A career change found Dr. Russell graduating from LSU School of Medicine in Shreveport in 1994. He did his residency from 1994-1998 in Orlando, Florida, before coming to practice here in Houma, Louisiana. Dr. Russell has been practicing OB/GYN in Houma for 17 years. He loves the area and its people. His hobbies include playing the piano and guitar, gardening, astronomy, and golf. Dr. Russell has four children: 3 girls and 1 boy, all of whom he is very proud of. He is a member of St. Francis de Sales Church and professes to all people of Houma to live a life that matters.
