Terrebonne General Health System Proudly Announces the Addition of New Physician Specialists to Their Esteemed Medical Staff

Terrebonne General Health System is proud to announce the addition of four new physician specialists. Dr. Alana Nichols, Internal Medicine and Pediatrics; Dr. Comfort Takang, Medical Oncology; Dr. Tyler Simons, Neurology; and Dr. Tiffany Eady, Neurology, will join the esteemed medical staff.

Dr. Alana C. Nichols is an Internal Medicine and Pediatrics Physician who earned her Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She then earned her Juris Doctorate at Georgia State University College of Law in Atlanta, Georgia. She received her Doctor of Medicine and completed her Internal Medicine and Pediatrics Residency from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine in Birmingham, Alabama.

Dr. Nichols is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha, American Academy of Pediatrics, American College of Physicians, National Med Peds Resident Association, Association of Med-Peds Physicians, National Medical Association, and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

Dr. Comfort Takang is a Medical Oncology Physician who earned her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Yaounde 1, Cameroon, Africa. She received her Master's in Public Health from George Washington University in Washington, D.C., and completed her Internal Medicine Residency at Manatee Memorial Hospital in Bradenton, Florida. She completed her hematology, oncology, and bone marrow transplant fellowship at the University of Minnesota in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Dr. Takang is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. She is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Society of Hematology, the American College of Physicians, the American Public Health Association, and the American Medical Association. She is fluent in English and French.

Dr. Tyler Simons is a Neurology Specialist who earned his Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and Master of Science in Neuroscience from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana, and his Doctor of Medicine from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana. Dr. Simons completed his Residency in Neurology at the University of Miami, Jackson Health System, and his Vascular Neurology Fellowship at the University of Texas Health in Houston, Texas, at McGovern Medical School.

Dr. Simons is board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology with a clinical focus in Vascular Neurology. He is a member of the American Medical Association, the American College of Physicians, the American Academy of Neurology, and the Society of Vascular and Interventional Neurology. He is fluent in English and Spanish.

Dr. Tiffany Eady is a Neurology Specialist who earned her Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and Philosophy from UC Berkeley in Berkeley, California, and her Doctor of Medicine and PhD from Louisiana State University Health Science Center in New Orleans, Louisiana. She completed her preliminary internship with Ochsner Internal Medicine Program in New Orleans, Louisiana, her Neurology Residency, and Clinical Neurophysiology Fellowship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts.

Dr. Eady is board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology – Epilepsy Certified, and the American Board of Clinical Neurophysiology, emphasizing Critical Care EEG Monitoring and Epilepsy Monitoring.

Dr. Eady is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, the American Neurological Association, the American Epilepsy Society, and the American Clinical Neurophysiology Society.
