The laboratory at Terrebonne General Health System helps our physicians diagnose and treat medical conditions quickly and accurately. Our state-of-the-art lab is accredited by the Joint Commission and AABB . Our staff performs 700,000+ laboratory procedures every year, and the Terrebonne General laboratory employs an experienced group of technical professionals, as well as three (3) full-time pathologists.

Outpatient Lab

Outpatient specimen collection is offered in a convenient, spacious location offering on-site registration. This site is in the Medical Atrium building, Suite 103 and is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Appointments preferred. Walk-ins welcome.

Pathology

The Anatomic Pathology lab tests and diagnoses body tissue that has been removed during surgery. The tissue sample is examined by a pathologist, who is a physician specializing in the examination and diagnosis of disease. Pathologists make recommendations and offer potential treatment options to your medical team. The Cytology Laboratory at Terrebonne General provides medical laboratory services to examine cell samples from body fluids and other sites to provide an accurate diagnosis.
