Free Child Car Seat Fitting Stations

HOUMA, LA-August 5, 2022 - Terrebonne General Health System announces the offering of a free Child Car Seat Fitting Station for our community. Terrebonne General along with Louisiana State Police and Louisiana Passenger Safety Task Force will offer free checks every 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month at the Terrebonne General Women’s Health Center Entrance from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm and at Market at the Marina on Saturday, August 6, 2022.
It's estimated that 96% of all child restraints are installed incorrectly. Our team can ensure that your child is placed into the restraint properly, and correctly install the restraint in your vehicle. A Fitting Station is a place where parents and caregivers can learn how to safely transport children by using the appropriate child safety seat or vehicle safety belt correctly from a certified passenger safety technician.
